Behind the Scenes with Peta Joy-Williams & Ruby Harris-Pozzie for EORA TAFE - Whale Tales Sydney 2022

Behind the Scenes with Peta Joy-Williams & Ruby Harris-Pozzie for EORA TAFE

TAFE NSW Eora has been constantly buzzing with creative energy for over 30 years. This is a vibrant, professional, community centre focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education and training. TAFE NSW Eora learners collaborated on this community art project to add to their portfolio and develop the skills to work effectivity in a team environment.

The two tails are a collaboration between TAFE NSW Eora students with their mentors, Dunghutti Biripi woman Wanita Lowe and Wiradjuri Yinaa Peta-Joy Williams.

Learners were given a guided brief that included the history of Barangaroo and were encouraged to further research a design concept that inspired their personal story and reflected their own cultural identity and connection to the local Gadigal Area and Barangaroo.

Discover their 2mts Whale Tale sculpture from 11 August to 24 September at Sydney’s Western Harbour.
