Meet the Artists
Thirty artists, curated by Art Pharmacy, have been inspired by place, by our marine life, and by Indigenous histories to tell their own tales by painting a whale tail with their vibrant designs.
Archibald prize winner Blak Douglas – a Sydney-based artist with Dhungatti heritage – joins a stellar collective of diverse talents including illustrator and animator Chris Yee, feminist and pro-body illustrator Pink Bits – as well as EORA TAFE students – making their mark in this exciting project.
Thanks to the creativity of these thirty artists, together with Indigenous Curatorial Advisors Aunty Jo Selfe and Uncle Graham Toomey, you and your family and friends can go ‘whale spotting’ around Sydney’s Western Harbour in a fun and immersive art experience.
