Presented as a 6km harbourside trail, the sculptures will be individually painted by a diverse collective of artists curated by Art Pharmacy, including Archibald prize winner Blak Douglas, illustrator and animator Chris Yee, and artist, author and illustrator, Sha’an d’Anthes aka Furry Little Peach.
The 30 large-scale sculptural whale tails will migrate their way around Sydney’s Western Harbour from Barangaroo to King Street, Cockle Bay, Darling Quarter, ICC Sydney, Maritime Museum to The Star and via Pyrmont to the Sydney Fish Market, in an expansive open-air art trail.
The trail can be completed in one go or as mini-trails across in multiple visits over the six-week period. The trail is fully accessible for all ages and abilities and is wheelchair and pram friendly.

Charity Auction
Love Whale Tales? Want to keep one?
You can! After the Waterfront Whale Tales trail concludes, all 30 sculptures will be offered for purchase at a dedicated art auction at Sydney Maritime Museum, Terrace Room.
The net proceeds from the auction will go to The Kids’ Cancer Project.
